These are some constructed textile experiments I’ve played with, I’m quite happy with them and I’ve used a wide range of methods these are fun to make and if you haven’t tried felting before I highly recommend it.

Over the last week I’ve been playing with constructed textiles and thought I’d try laying brass buttons in a dish of latex (so much fun!) It took about 3 days to dry out and when I removed the buttons the latex had imprinted the pattern and taken the colouring from them. Now I can cut them up and use them as buttons.

Conveying layers in different media, and experimenting with how it could be used on the body.

A few quick mark making experiments always free the creative side of me, using different tools and black paint to test out directions lines with can be used on the body.

A slightly more definitive and detailed illustration for my Water of Life collection.

Tried a slightly different illustration style to go with my Water of Life collection. I wanted the illustration to seem a little more grown up.

Fun, quirky illustration to go with my New Horizons project.

Using an image from my research, this one taken from the art exhibition Beyond Infinity by Serge Salat and overlaying a fashion design to experiment with colours, also including design specs of the garment, to show where it can be changed from a “all-in-one” to button up sleeves, which gives the wearer the option to change how this outfit could look depending on their personal style.

Re-shoot for Water of Life collection, It’s a fun and girly summer separates range, that can be mixed and matched.
Had such a fun day doing this photo shoot and I need to give a huge thank you to Catherine, who modelled for me, she looks stunning.
