So my summer theme collection of jewellery is now available on Etsy through my shop, I am super excited about this the jewellery is made using fine Merino Wool and each carefully hand felted, these quirky pieces add a little something to any outfit while being very lightweight.
The ring is adjustable so it is comfortable and fitting for any finger and the earrings clip on for a fun alternative for unpierced ears!

[Smiles like a loon] Here it is the new jewellery range now selling in my shop, it’s super cute and makes a statement with any outfit. Check out my shop HERE! or follow the menu above.

Well, here it is the finished Re-mixed Dimensions collection. I’m so happy with these final pieces, there’re all very different but sit well together. Constructed textiles are amongst my favourites due to how tactile you can make them.
I have to give a hugh thank you to Catherine who modelled for me, she looks amazing.

After initial researching of all the various things I found influential for this project. I started playing with adornment of my own, using different weighted and textured materials and making each piece individually, decorating them by hand or with a sewing machine and arranging each piece onto a stand to create a silhouette I like, then sewing all the various pieces together by hand, so that it may be worn on the body.

This particular piece was made during the final year of the FDA in Textiles and Fashion I studied, It was so much fun playing with ideas and pieces of fabric to create something to adorn the body, so I thought why not include it here.

These are some constructed textile experiments I’ve played with, I’m quite happy with them and I’ve used a wide range of methods these are fun to make and if you haven’t tried felting before I highly recommend it.

Over the last week I’ve been playing with constructed textiles and thought I’d try laying brass buttons in a dish of latex (so much fun!) It took about 3 days to dry out and when I removed the buttons the latex had imprinted the pattern and taken the colouring from them. Now I can cut them up and use them as buttons.

Design specs and illustrations for New Horizons collection,

New Horizons design project for EABurns using my inspirations of feathers, smoke and other natural things interpreted into some quirky prints in bright colours, which will go into panels and sections of my designs. So the collection consists of 6 outfits all of which would be made in responsibly sourced and preferably organic cotton, silk and wool. Starting on the left, a just above the knee pleated full skirt and printed blouse with a peter pan collar, no 2. Is a digitally printed, mid calf full skirt with a high waist and a blue, cropped jumper. No 3. Is simple white long sleeved blouse with a yellow knit short sleeve jumper and printed floaty cotton shorts, the 4th outfit is a simple day dress with print paneling in a spotty print. No 5. Is a light silk, digitally printed floor length number with a cut-away hem and finally the last outfit is a red knit low neck jumper, with a feather printed shirt and grey trousers with printed panels and pockets.
